    Cliff,

Many Porsche shops that service older models can repair shift issues in early 911 transmissions.
Only certain repairs, such as ring & pinion, differential or case replacements require very specialized tools.

California Motorsports (CMS) in Lake Havasu is a Porsche transmission specialist that might be reasonably close to you.
I'm sure other shops will be mentioned here too, and all should be fine for your specific shift issues.
Just be certain your problem isn't clutch release or shift linkage related before having your transmission pulled.

    (Thanks Jim ;-)

    Dang.

At first I thought this was in "For Sale" section.

Hoping there was a transmission mechanic out there who wanted a job.

I wrote that it was the term for how diseases are spread. He didn't call me back.

Jon, what do you do to the case itself to make it look so clean?

Mark, if an aluminum case has areas of heavy corrosion, I prep and tumble it in polishing media.
Here is a '58 356 transmission with a tumbled case...
