    Barracuda Road Racer

I've just finished building my 66 Barracuda into a vintage road racer.
I little known fact is Mopar homologated these to race in group 3 sports car class in Europe at Le mans, Spa etc, agianst the 911, Alfa's, Shelby's and the like. I built this accordingly. Here's a great article on the car..

Absolutely super! My first MoPar was a '66, slant six motor. Started to autocross in that car, giving Z-28's many headaches. Wished I had it back! Great job Matt!

Very cool Barracuda! Everything looks in place and period awesome!
I have been working on a similar car-1966 Dart GT(in honor of the taking a win in class at the very first Trans Am race). We still need to puff the fenders a bit and drop the suspension, but all the hard work is done.
    67 911 , 69 911S, Ford V Ferrari 906LH, 85 Carrera...and-gasp! a bunch of Corvettes, Musclecars and Italian crap(330GTC,GTA/M,308GTB)

    Awesome swbstudios!!

The Darts and Barracuda's battled it out in 66 Trans Am. It was a great year with many big name F1, Nascar, Sportscar racers competing.
I would love to see more pics and updates as you go..

Very cool. Love to see these great-looking Mopars on here. As a high school senior in 1990, I was driving a '66 Belvedere with a built 440. Couldn't turn at speed or stop, but it was great fun.

Can you post a video? I'd love to hear your car rev.

Does this count as a "great looking Mopar?" I will have Dart updates shortly, but this thing followed us home. 69 Fury vert, unbelievably with zero rust!

    Matt,

What a cool car, congrats on the build. Always thought a vintage mustang road racer would be a lot of fun.
