Am I way off on the price?
Or is there just no one the currently needs an early engine now?

I have no need for it so I see myself as a neutral third party.

To the owner of chassis 301550, it would most likely be worth it. This assumes that chassis still exists.

For anyone with any other closely-numbered chassis in need of a non-matching number long block, it needs all external parts and may be in need of a complete rebuild internally from your description. So, the stated price may be a bit high.

All that said, if you're patient, you may find a buyer at your price. If you need the money soon, a more aggressive price might be in order.

Since you don't have the intake, fuel pump, dist. ,fan, original exhaust, sheet metal, fiberglass, it needs rebuilt, etc. I would say you are high by about $17,000.00

Perhaps some of our resident experts on all things Porsche should carefully read Donald Rumsfeld's famines quote - "There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know."

Dang, you would take all 10!

If you can spare a few of these readily available engines, how about allocating 3-4 for me (Silly me, I did not realize that the market had shifted overnight and these had fallen to such low value!)
