    FS: 1970/71 Sport Seats

Posting for a friend who isn't super internet savvy.

Selling an amazingly well kept original pair of 1970/71 Sport seats with passenger tilting base and sliders. They have amazing natural patina but still supportive and in very good shape.
Passenger seat is pretty perfect with original perf side bolsters and corduroy seats and drivers side has 3 small tears (see pics) on the drivers door bolster and a small split seam on the corduroy seat bottom.
Corduroy seam is an easy fix but not sure the best solution to the vinyl tears. In my opinion if it were possible to patch the vinyl from the backside it would be nice to keep these seats original looking and not just reupholster and lose the character.

All webbing and padding still good.

Asking $8500 USD plus shipping OBO

    Seats are located in Toronto.

To my knowledge 73 had non perfed side bolsters and were double lockers. This could be 70-71.

Nice seats, great material. Next set I restore will probably be like these. I would go as far as saying these are correct for 69-71 cars. Could also work in a early 72, will fit all 69-73 but yes the double locker came on "most" 73 cars.

    Mr. Utah,

Here is a photo of the Porsche Double Locker.

The reason you don't see them much anymore is because they were so bulky that most owners removed them from their cars.

Although almost as heavy as what Frank has shown, the double locker is just a cam that goes to the other seat rail to lock both sides on the slider. Also the seat belt monted on the floor instead of on the seat. Both items were for safety purposes as the earlier single locker tended to slide forward in accidents, and since the belt was mounted on the seat, left the occupant without adequate restraint.
