There was nothing attached here. Is this the oil crankcase vent?

    Where do I route this?

It should have a breather hose that connects to the oil tank high on the forward end of the tank. There should be another hose from the oil tank neck to the air cleaner , if stock, or to a oil catch tank or breather.

Yes, in your picture, the hose from the fill neck should go to the air cleaner.

And the other similar sized hose in the background of your picture should connect to the fitting on the engine case. The engine vents to the tank, the tank vents to the air box.

Yes. Although it looks like you have a non standard catch tank back there between the engine and the oil tank. Normally the vent line from the engine would run directly to the oil tank nipple.

If you were going to have a catch tank, I would put it between the filler neck and the air box to keep excess oil from blow by out of the air box. Having it between the engine and oil tank just keeps oil out of the oil tank...

You could easily reconfigure your hoses to do this. Engine to oil tank. Filler neck to catch bottle. Catch bottle to air box.
