Carburated 911 signs of possible intake fire and deformed air box

Thank again all you gurus for the help thus far on my new car.

The car slightly pops through two carbs for the 1st 30 seconds or so when cold and goes away and idles very nice. I'm hoping this was an old issue that has been since resolved (Car was amateur restored 10 years ago, stored and then sold to me). No other signs of heat or fire anywhere else in the engine compartment.

Yes, there have probably been minor back fires over a period of time. Usually caused by using improper starting procedure.
