    Extended steering wheel hub?

I was thinking of using a leather S steering wheel in my car but when I tried it in the car, it's really far away compared to the Momo I'm currently using. Has anybody used the hub extender currently offered by Sierra Madre? Any downfall to doing this? Thanks for the advice. For reference: Wheel is a leather VDM dated 2/69 or 7/69 (can't make out the first number) and is going into a 65 911.

I'm pretty sure those are similar to the ones sold by Cornpanzer here on the board. If they are, you'll have to drill out the rivets holding the hub in place (a potential downfall), sandwich the extension between them, and use the provided hardware to screw it all back together (instead of using rivets). I've got one of Cornpanzer's hub on my '71T steering wheel and it works very well IMHO since I'm using a 914 380mm leather wrapped wheel.

Christian, John (LivefromNY) may chime in here. If I remember correctly he was going to purchase one and try it out a month or two ago.
