Lone Star Le Mans at Circuit of the Americas: Sept 17-19 2015

THE SPIRIT OF LE MANS RETURNS TO AUSTIN

There’s a new tradition at Circuit of The Americas, a Texas twist on the greatest endurance race in the world and the festivities that make it legendary.

Lone Star Le Mans, where the world’s premier sports car series — the Tudor United SportsCar Championship and the FIA World Endurance Championship — compete on the same day and well into the night.

The three-day event will feature almost nine hours of racing, finishing under the stars and topped off with a dazzling fireworks show. All weekend long, fans and families will find exciting entertainment and live music, interactive car displays and an open paddock where you can get up close to the drivers and their cars.

Last year's event was pretty well represented by the water-pumpers in the Porscheplatz but wanted to know if anyone else from the Early911S Registry will be out there. There was a pretty incredible rain storm that came through during the WEC race which made for a muddy experience afterwards.

Speaking of Porscheplatz, the PCA is again hosting a hospitality tent and package deal for members who purchase tickets via the COTA office.

Hope to see you there! Bring a poncho, just in case!!!

P.S. Looks like Corvette and Porsche will be next to one another in the Turn 1 hospitality area and corral parking. Should make for interesting conversations....

Just got my tickets for the race. Anyone interested in caravan-ing to COTA/Austin on Friday 9/18 leaving Dallas around 10am?

Hmmm, not a bad choice there Nick. You'll have a bit more top-end speed than my little 912...
