PVC coating or not on fuel tank ?

    Hi there,

I bought a new fueltank for my 1968 SWB in black paint.
Probably already discussed before but : does it need an extra coating all around and thereafter a repaint in grey??

The Original one which is in now is just black and no coating.

    Any advice appreciated
