    Fan shroud color

I have a new to me '70 911T. It is a fairly unmolested car and has the original engine according to the COA. The only query I have about it is the fan shroud color....it's yellow. Is this the correct color for a 911T of this vintage? I have read conflicting info regarding this. Some say black, some say yellow, and some say later T's had a yellow painted shroud. Any insight would be appreciated.

    Ed,

Was the 1973.5 T yellow? I always thought it was black - then again I'm often confused on this.

    Richard,
Yellow and black were both used on the 73.5 cis engines. I have read a few threads on this. My July '73 production was yellow.

Does the yellow shroud apply to only the MFI (and apparently some CIS) 2.4Ts destined for the US? I have an RoW '73 2.4T engine with Zeniths (911/57) that has a black shroud.

That is correct, the ROW Zenith engines still retained the black shroud.

    Thanks.
Next question: Should it be a matte or a gloss black?
