    Philly to Monterey-Journey to Rennsport

The time has come. We have planned and re-planned, checked and rechecked. Most importantly we have convinced our wives that sending us on a cross country road trip, while they stay at home is a good idea.

Our plan is to leave Philly Saturday the 19th and head west to Rennsport. We are keeping the group small. 3 hot rod early 911s are starting the trip with plans to pick up a 4th outside of Louisville.

We are using the Northern route as a general framework for our trip, but trying to keep things loose in case any unscheduled events occur.

Arrival in Monterey should be Thursday afternoon.

I think I can speak for the group in saying we are really excited for Rennsport and equally excited to make the road trip in our old 911s!!

Any and all advice is welcome.

I'll be posting pics along the way.

Way to go guys!...the only advice I have is bring an extra set of plugs, an extra fan belt, clutch cable, and a AAA card! Not that you'll need them 'cause our cars are so damned dependable. Oh...and take lots'o'pics!

    Drive safe!!!

    Cheers!

My advice is to take and share lots of pics. If you guys are taking the northern route and swinging through the Chicago area, let me know. Sounds like not if you are going through Loov'lle (that's not the northern route). If you want to take two lane roads that will knock your socks off, I have a spectacular route from Denver to Monterey that you will not forget. PM me if you want it.

    Have fun!

Thanks Scott. We will dial in your Colorado route recommendations. We added Louisville to the destination list so we can take advantage of some roads in West Virginia. Heading more North from there.

Raab Himself should make the trip interesting.

BTFC looks pretty good. Can't wait to see you knuckleheads and hear some good stories. Don't forget to pack your DeWalt power drill, Monde.
