    Intermediate Shaft - gear "0" or "1"....

    Hello together,
I have a question about the different available gears for the intermediate shaft. So far I know, you can get gears with “0” or “1”, but where exactly is the difference. Is it only the diameter?

I am asking, because I have an aluminum case with a fitting intermediate shaft ( “0” gear) for aluminum engines, but I am not sure, if the gear is matching. I can’t find a stamped in “0” or “1” on my engine case…

It's right above the crank, you can see it here on my case, just to the left of the parting line, a numeral "0."
