I want to learn something hence my questions

1. What kind of barrels would you use for these pistons?
2. Apparently these are two sizes, 3x 80.92 and 3x 80.95. Is 3/100 okay to use in one engine?
3. since there are close to 81 mm, are these old or more recent pistons

Chromal barrels. I know where a set is "laying around". How do you like how Porsche dealt with expansion? Didn't work so well. The studs all broke from water infiltration creating stress cracks.

These barrels are VERY light and chrome plated with "picking" to hold oil for the rings.

This photo is of the Chromal Cylinders in a factory Group 3 race engine one of our members has. The bore is very shiny but didn't show up due to bad lighting. The second photo shows what the cylinders look like. You can see the "covered" studs.

The engine is fully documented. Center oil 906 cams but they weren't center oil fed. Polished Ti rods and the case was fully modded for windage. All the cool stuff you couldn't see which is a darn shame.

1. The cylinders that you are posted, are those 80 or 81 mm? (the pistons offered are 80.92-80.95 mm).
2. can you use pistons w/ .03 mm difference in one engine, also since you will need matching cylinders since clearance is in thousands or is it hundreds for these chromosyl cylinders
