    Speedo Problems

Getting ready for Rennsport Leaving Friday A.M.
    Yesterday the Speedo stopped working.
I pullerd the Speedo out the cable was not moving.
I disconected the cable fron the transmission angle drive cable is O.K.
It looks like the speedo angle drive has some type of plug in the back and came apart.
Like to fix it before Rennsport. But don't have time.
    Is this a easy repair?
Do I have to worry about hurting the tranny if I do not fix it for this trip.
It looks like no oil is leaking from the housing.
Car is a 1970 t with a 501 trans. located in So. Cal.

Bernie- I don't believe that is a major repair. You have many very good shops in southern California. I am sure, depending on where you are, one of these shops could have it fixed quickly.
