    NOS targa rear interior panel-black

    i don't need this part, but a free bump for a question...

    paul,

    you are one of the guys that has deep knowledge of 'correct.' i thought the SWB targa panels had 14 pleats in the lower half of this rear panel. (this one is smooth.) (the one that came with my car has the pleats.)

    what is 'correct?'

    If I can take a shot at this. The 72 and 73 cars had this particular part, the wider "hump" that split the upper and lower sections and a smooth lower part. The 71 and earlier had the narrower hump that split the upper and lower. Also, in this particular part, the lower section is a different texture from the upper texture (and the hump and the surround for the rear portion against the targa window). In this case the lower section is the heavier grained vinyl that you would find in the 72/73 cars on the seats and door panels.
