    FS: 1970 911S Coupe

For sale is a 1970 911S in driver condition ready to be taken to the next level. A four-owner car, it has been in the care of its current owner for 13 years, purchased from Jim Shraeger in 2002.

Car has 112,000 miles on it, VIN is 91103002XX and engine number is 6300300, color is Light Ivory over black. It was originally purchased for $7,945.57 in June 1970.

Jim's write-up in April 2002 describes the car as enthusiast owned from new, never seen winter and the car being all original including its aluminum rear decklid. Jim notes that the dash is a factory replacement available at the time. The car had 102,000 miles on it at the time. The engine was rebuilt at 82,000 miles. Jim, and previous owners were kind and thoughtful enough to include all records since day one as well as the original window sticker and bill of sale. The COA indicates "Comfort Equipment for 911S" providing the standard Recaro seats.

Also included are the original owners manual in excellent condition, tool kit and jack.

What is special about this car is that it has been owned by enthusiasts and as such, has not been fooled around with. It is a no-excuses car with no surprises that can easily be taken to Hagerty 2 nearly with paint alone.

I have taken as many photos of the car as possible detailing its condition.

In person, what jumps out are:
    1. It is a truly lovely car with presence.
    2. The interior and engine are excellent.
    3. The car should be taken down to metal and repainted. Thankfully, this car is a very short rabbit hole. Having worked on these cars for 25 years now, all of the rust I detailed is cosmetic and will not require welding, structural or cosmetic.
    4. It runs and drives like a 70S should

There are a tremendous number of details, like the complete, professional rebuild of the Blaupunkt Frankfurt, not listed here, so I encourage you to email me at shaun@tru-6.com with any and all questions.

Asking price for the car is $145,000.

If someone is interested, I can check this engine. Looks like it is pretty close to my house.

Dirk - I'm more than interested to know the circumstances of how this engine found its way to your 'neighborhood'. It indeed belonged to a 1970 911-S that I purchased in the U.S. in 2015...car was sold to me as having its 'original' engine..found out later what I had was a less poor re-stamp which I did not realize at the time of my purchase. When discovered - and brought to the attention of the those who sold it to me - they claimed no knowledge and blamed the whole affair on ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! During my investigation, I was able to talk directly with at least three former owners of the car...none of who could offer - or were willing to share - what happened to the engine that was missing from the car I purchased...a car that was affirmatively declared by those I bought it from (one who is still active on early S selling his services) to be a car that was entirely original, never 'messed with', and still retaining its original engine and transmission. I was never made whole on this deal by the guys who misrepresented it to me. So....I indeed have already 'paid' for this engine but certaintly did not receive it when I payed all the money for this 'matching numbers' car. Sounds like the current owner of the car is interested in buying it...hope he does.

    Steve,
Have met the seller only two or three times, last time in summer 2017.
Texted him and will try to have a look at the engine but unfortunately the seller offered in Stuttgart but the engine to his words is located 30km far from the City.

wow, that is a turn of events. I didn't see that coming.

The '3' has a flat on the top, with a pointed corner. (which shows slightly in the first photo)
(which happens to be a stamp that is harder to find) unrelated.
