    Front A/C condensor housing

Just getting to the front end of a total rebuild on my RS and was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction for the above part.

It's the one at the front of the luggage area that the condensor goes into from under the front and the fan sits on top of inside the trunk.

Obviously early cars with AC are much rarer in the UK hence the difficulty in finding anything!

    Any info appreciated.

Keep in mind it's merely a duct that the blower motor straps to and channels air toward the condenser.
What exactly is wrong with yours?

I'm afraid its not there atall. It was removed when the air con was taken off when it was used for sprints in Switzerland in the late 70s.The hole then had a patch welded in. Thinking about it would the same part have been used in an SC and Carrera3.2?

It's actually not the same as the later ones. The early cars used a steel blower motor assembly strapped to the duct; in '74 they went to a plastic motor assm with part of the duct built into it. You're probably screwed if you're trying to buy something off the shelf.

I'll post pics later. More than likely you'll have to fab one up.

Thanks! That would be very helpful.

    Thanks Frank for those.

Just been to my local OPC and you are quite correct they are different.

Looks like we must adapt the '74 bits.

    thanks again.
