    Scart exhausts

Does anyone have experience with the SCART exhausts?
They had a vendor booth at Rennsport Reunion V with some exhausts on display.
The you tube link below is from their web site www.scart.com.

I've been looking around for some louder than stock (not race noise) options for my '69.
These may have the stock look but I'd like to know if anyone has one installed and their opinion.
What I don't see is any tests done on a dyno to see if there is any horse power gain or loss.
And yes they are very pricey.

I did the rally exhaust for about $25.00. $5.00 in parts and $20.00 to my local welder/fabricator.

There are a number of YOUTUBE videos of SCART exhausts and at least one or two sound pretty good. My gripe with most of the aftermarket stuff is that it's TOO DAMN LOUD. Monty make a nice piece. It is not cheap but good never is.

These are 2 in 1 out models which are the easiest to fit. 2 out the back are harder to fit to later cars (post '73).

    SCART 2.4:

SCART 2.2 (My personal favorite video as compression always makes the bark better!)

FWIW: The best sounding exhaust, hands down, is on Ed Mayo's personal car. He made it himself per the instructions that have been around for years.

Very good presentation. Thank you. I guess it is all about what you do most with the car. Racing and track use, and the odd quick 'fang' on public roads the SCARTS would be fun. On any longer trip, I suspect, the novelty would wear off and they would become a source of annoyance. I find the Monty is a nice balance for country sprints through the hills and a bit of highway work.

Is yours a single outlet Monty or a dual outlet cowhorn type?

Single. Others here have swapped from the double as they found highway drone an issue.

Monty doesn't offer a 60MM outlet I believe Scart does.

I think the parts looked okay but the prices were ridiculous.

My Monty is the dual outlet cowhorn type - I'm a blue hwy type driver in this car, but understand the drone issue. I might swap for a single outlet when I hit 70...

I'd want to know the weight of the Scart items before buying one. Monty is pretty light wt. and the lightest quality muffler IIRC is the one a welding instructor used to make and is now sold by a guy called rarelylate.

I've always wanted one in titanium...
