    numbers?

You can contact the owner that restored the car - he's on here (in the thread) and on Pelican.

I dont understand how Motor Classic & Competition Corp (the selling dealer) can list this car as matching numbers.

The car is gorgeous but I am looking for a show car and so the matching number issue is a big deal to me

Have you considered the possibility that they're crooks?

Sad to see this - and my opinion (not that anyone asked) but that engine number should be shaved/removed and the details/documentation indicate a "replacement". It isn't right to any current or future owner they are buying a fraudulent motor number. The price should then reflect a replacement. Sometimes honesty and transparency is worth much more than attempting to sell a lie.

If it is done right (and this car seems to be done VERY nicely) with the correct series motor/year/etc.. the value is in the restoration and series matching components - which very well may be 150k. /shrug

    Hello mac73s

I would love to get in touch as I bought the car but NOT as a matching number car. Would appreciate learning more about what you did on it, which seems a LOT, and simply have more details on the saga around the engine.

Ah thanks for the enlightenment ... I was wondering why despite having paid the subscription I wasn't able to send messages. So do I simply need to post 10 times ???

70SATman told me that the reason I can't send you PM yet is because a member needs 10 posts before being allowed to do so which I wasn't aware of. So I am kind of stuck and don't want to post just for the purpose of crossing the threshold but will if I must as I very much would like to be in touch. Car is getting a complete look over by the PPI company I selected and should be shipping to me next week
