    Auction Description:

ex DEAN MARTIN paint outside: bright yellow, 6262 color inside: imitation leather brown, odometer mileage: ? Matching Number optional equipment: M 418 inertia seat belts right and left, M 470 Comfort-equipment with 911 S instrument, M 490 antenna, M 976 punched disc wheel chromium-plated 5.5x15 (was replaced by 6x15 Fuchs rims) . Dean Martin was a famous actor, singer and entertainer, his performances with Sammy Davis Jr. Fank Sinatra, Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop were legendary, that's why they were called "The Red Pack" at the same time in 1965 it started the "Dean-Martin-Show", this show has the best TV ratings and was world-wide sold, Dean Martin was at this time the best paid entertainer in the USA, he was a sports car fan and owned many Ferrari s and Facel Vegas., after the factory vacations in summer 1971 the production of the overworked 911 F-model with oil shutter was started, until April 1972 the revised model in this form was built, on October 1st, 1971 was this car delivered to Aptos, California USA to Dean Martin, how long he owned the car is un known, the entries in the service booklet are ending in April 1974, from 1996 the car was in different collections in England and Germany, the interior fittings aer in very good original condition, only the front seats were new covered.

    Description from Paul Lodey
1972 Model 911 T/E. Light yellow/ Brown Pepita interior. 5 speed manual 915, Mechanical Fuel Injection.

This is a car I feel lucky to have found in exceptional, very original condition with a complete service history from new and only 103,000 genuine miles. With razor sharp throttle response the engine and light wieight makes this one of the most seminal 911 experiences, definitely one of the nicest Porsche models ever built.

Originally registered in Los Angeles, California to Dean Martin, was imported and sold by Edmond Harris in 1996. The engine has recently had a top end rebuild with new studs, rings etc.

Cars in this very original condition are thin on the ground these days.

Hah! Looks like a sweeeet crib.

Pretty sure Dino and the rest of the Rat Pack always drove big iron like Cadillacs, Lincolns and at their most exotic, Facel Vegas and Dual Ghias.
