Best tyres for a 1966 912 (SWB) on Flat 6's

So I have got my Flat 6's on the 912 and they look super smashing great !!!

My question is, the Fuchs came with Dunlop SP Sport Supers in a 185/70 VR 15 size and they look fantastic, but it seems that two of them don't hold air.

The steelies have Michelin 165/70SR15's on so I think they would be a bit undertyred from where I'm sitting. So I probably need to buy some new tyres (also the Dunlops are a bit old - not sure just how old and also they have red paint all over them from an overspray incident)

So, the question is what to go for ? The Dunlops look amazing, like 1960's Grand Prix tyres really, super cool tread pattern and they look just right. I'm after a tyre for spirited driving, unlikely to ever take it on the track, but the roadholding from the XZX's wasn't exactly confidence inspiring, they always felt a bit "tall"

Whats good chaps ? What will look fab and improve the handling on the old dear ??

The 1966 technology is great for car shows, howvever, owning two 1966 Porsches I have found that a 195 X 60 X 15 tyre works much better. Taller and narrower tyres do NOT afford the driver to take advantage of the true capabilities that these Early cars offer. Just sayin'...................

+1 Put on the bigger tires and it will make any SWB feel like a go-cart.

    I know what's on Bob's car and it's great.

I like Yokohama 205/55/15 on my deep six Fuchs - aggressive enough, fit well with a small spacer.

Wow. I never knew I had so many (any) options !! It's a stock car that I don't track or anything so don't want to go too extreme. But knowing I can get modern rubber is great. I'll look for a 205/60 or 205/55 and see what the options are here in Blighty. Thanks for your thoughts lads.
