Help - Correct Interior Rearview Mirror for a '70E

My limited research tells me that the interior mirrors were almost identical for the '69-'70 cars and the '71-'73 cars. It seems the difference is in the finish on the interior side of the mirror. I am told that the '69-'70 cars used the mirror with the "grainy" finish and the '71-'73 used a mirror with the "pebble" finish.

I found what I think are both types in my stash and I would like to confirm that the mirror in the top of the first photo and on the RHS of the second photo is correct for my '70E.

    TIA

This is the mirror on my 70T ROW from Italy. I imagine it is the same for all 70s.

Looks more like the pebbly one on the left in my second picture.

I agree. And I have no part number markings near the day/night switch.

Yes, the pebbled back one on the left is the one you need. I posted an inquiry previously on this site and confirmed that the one on the left is correct through 1973. The textured one on the right didn't begin till around 1974

Supposedly, 69/70 is different than 71-73. I do not know the difference but will plan to go with "pebbly" for my project.

    Thanks for all the replies.
