What the f.... is going on with this?

I have just bought this KONTRLLIERTE QUALITAT 901 201 023 06 inline fuel filter for my new fuel tank, I had already fitted it to the tank, starting to measure the hose for the job, It felt kind of strange , loose , the tube was turning inside the brass fitting. Suddently I had the tube in my hand?

what the f....is going on, have PORSCHE forgotten to solder the tube into the fitting ?

If yes, I`m lucky not to have 100 l fuel poring slowly out from the car when leaving it in the garage or.....

    what do you think?

You should consider yourself lucky this happened when it did instead of falling apart on a drive after the tank was filled with gas. Still sucks that it was so poorly manufactured.

Porsche likely doesn't make that part - most parts are sourced, and this one may have originated in China, Brazil or Mexico. Send it back and tell the Dealer to contact the Regional Repr. or do that yourself. Point out that their reputation rides on quality parts, etc. You want this to go back up the chain of command until it is fixed - maybe throw in some diesel comments to fuel the fire...
