FS: 1968 Recaro Sport Seat w/ Sliders & Tilt Bracket

For sale is one original 1968 Recaro sport seat, complete with original sliders and tilt bracket. Seat is a fabric combination of perforated vinyl and corduroy. Fabric is all original with no replaced panels. This seat is correct for either driver or passenger side. The tilt bracket on this seat is a driver side bracket. There are a few small tears and/or nicks (see link below for photos) in the fabric, but seat is otherwise solid and in very nice shape.

Has anyone noticed that the lever that operates the locking mechanism for the slider goes in through the front of the seat, it does not appear to be part the slider (track). The part that locks the slider also appears to come out of the bottom of the seat. Is this specific to the 68 seats?

What about on the 67 sport seat, was the locking mechanism part of the seat or part of the slider?

67 was the same as 68.

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.
