Looking for a photo of 911 ambient temperature gauge

Can anyone provide a photo of a US version, ie Fahrenheit accessory ambient temperature gauge for an early, say 67, 911. My understanding is that the larger one that was mounted in the place of the dash clock was used on 912s and the smaller one that mounted to the left of the ignition switch was used on 911s. Im assuming it was a VDO gauge that matched the rest of the green script dials. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pictures of the 80 mm gauge for the 912 are pretty common. See

You're probably interested in the 60 mm version which would be beside the ignition switch in a high end car. There are pictures of the Celsius version on the 356 Registry forum which includes pages from what sure looks to be a 1967 Accessories brochure (look towards the bottom:

Original to my 1968 911 targa. the 60mm version.

I have a 80 mm green dial version on the shelf, but there are 2 different versions of that type. There is those in the attachments from Jim, but there is also a version (as shown in options book) with only 1 scale as shown in the brochure in one of the ads, same font type as the other gauges. I don't know if this was a difference between 911 and 912?

Thanks Jules, I hoping the green numbered 60mm would look like this:

that does not look correct, that is a 356 style bezel, but that is not a 356 temp gauge. May be a later reproduction?

Would the bezel match the 68 version ( shown in the dash photo you provided)but be chrome instead of black? Any source for a photo of the correct gauge? Im thinking maybe a period correct accessories pamphlet.

Am I correct in assuming that is a motometer not VDO gauge? Bezel looks like the "365" bezel to me. Thanks For your help Jules, much appreciated.

Here's the photo/scan of the '67 accessories catalog photo of the outside temperature gauge from http://forum.porsche356registry.org/...=31961#p174917 with a little Photoshop enhancement:

It looks to me like it says "MOTOMETER"

I think it's a '67 accessories catalog because the cover identifies 912-911-911S. But, that looks like a 1966 dash with the wood inlay.

PERFECT! Thanks Jim. Interesting that on the 356 site there was a link to a photo of a gauge that was really an exact match to the early Porsche SWB dash instruments. Has anyone seen one of these before?
