NGK spark plugs for 1971 911T

    Hi all,

I have a stock 2.2 1971 911T with worn guides. I'm fouling the plugs and I hear if you go to a hotter NGK spark plug, I should be fine until I save the money for a rebuild. I'm having trouble finding the exact part number. Any ideas?

Also, I'm reading here that I should stick with 87 octane fuel with no ethanol. Thoughts?

NGK is the opposite of Bosch , lower number = hotter plug . bp5es may be a good choice . What do you have now ?

I had Bosch super plus. Most were fouled. Tom Amon rebuilt my carbs and put in bigger Zenith jets for no reason. I put in NGK BP6ES spark plugs at $2.50 each. Seems to run well.
