Determining build month of 71 T

Trying to determine build month of my 71 T, the silver VIN decal on the DS door jamb was trashed and the COA doesn't list it. I know its a late 71. Someone had mentioned that I can pull the clock and (assuming it is the original, which it is) and that will have a stamp on it that is a pretty good indication. Is there any "formula" out there to determine this from the VIN itself.? Any help appreciated. Thx

Best bet is to post the vin and let others with similar vins tell you their build dates.

The "formula" is: your car probably wasn't made before the last remaining original date ....
Most electrical and many mechanical parts have a date.
I agree with posting your VIN. It will get you closer than you think.

My 71 is Vin 9111100966 and mfg date per COA is 12/70..... Also noted that my instruments are same dates as are the rims. Seems yours was later production than mine.

VIN on my car is 9111120924 and left the factory on October 6th 1970. Instruments are original and from 09/70 as is a lot of the other dated components.

Looks like your car was built in March/April of 1971. Its a targa right?

I own a 71T with a build date of 3/71. VIN 9111121839. I would suspect that it could be Mar, but is probably an Apr build.
