    FS: 356B Engine lid

    Nice engine '62 lid, with no rust or dents and includes the twin grilles and latch. Needs a clean and new grill rubbers. $US 820.00 + shipping

    Do you know why it is a 62 lid and not some other year?
    No, the answer is not because it says 62 Porsche on the lid.

    It came with my 62 car Jim, as spare. Two owner original car, last owner 45 years. I will pull the number off it and post

    You are almost correct. No louvers in 62, 63 thru 65 had louvers.

    Correct. I inherited a substantial amount of original parts and spares from the car's elderly owner. This lid was part of that. He was a bit of a hoarder and cateloged everything. I even found original hub caps and rims wrapped and not used.
