WTB: Hood Latch parts - spring cups!

    Hi, All -

I am learning the hard way not to send these parts to any plater. Last time I did, the three spring cups I shipped out were returned, but 75% of the part had been eaten away. Now I have to find three more. Can anyone help? Thanks!

So many people have done that there is a shortage of cups. Do a search, recently saw that someone on this board is making them. Not the platers fault, acid cleaning bath dissolves the zinc cup.

    Hi, Ed -

I have read another post by you warning the unaware of this. Well done, Ed! Unfortunately for me, I read it too late. How do you know that's a zinc part, besides the fact that most acid baths eat the base metal?

No repro parts for this car - I'll keep hunting them down . .

ha! I was too late with my "cue Ed" comment on this topic!

(Ed saved my cups with this sage advice.)
