    you should mention that the tach is for a 4cyl and the speedometer is 912

    I would if I knew it. Are you sure?? I thought the tach was for an E or an L?

    I am sure, the early 911 rev limit is 7000rpm, 912 was 6000rpm. Later on there were lower redlines like 6300rpm but only on black face gauges. If you don't believe me stare at the back of the tach where it is stamped 4zyl for 4 cylinder cars. 912 speedos were 120mph while 911 were 150mph although the face and gearing can be modified to 911.

    +1 on what Mark states... the tach and speedo are from a 912...
