    Alternator?

It's about time for a new alternator on my 67S.

The mechanic says that there is a bad diode and I have some other minor electrical problems that could be related.

There seems to be a fair amount of choices; rebuild, buy new reman, buy new original specs, buy new upgraded specs/amps, buy used, nos, etc.

Can anyone recommend the best direction to go or point out the pros and cons?

    Thanks!
    Josh

We are fortunate to have a very good rebuilder in the Fort Worth area, so rebuild original is our choice. I don't know if new Bosch is still available, if so yes, do that, avoid changing types that require modifying your existing wiring or regulator types.
