    Brumos is Sold

The Fields Automotive Group is in the process of purchasing all of the Brumos properties.

I've bought a couple of cars from Fields. I was very happy with them as well.

What is the deal here ?

Will it be re-named Fields ?

What precipitated the sell off ?

Porsche format dictates that all non-grandfathered centers should be known as "Porsche of XXXX". As there will be new ownership, the Brumos name will not be used, and I anticipate we will be known as Porsche of Jacksonville. I'm of the understanding that the 'Brumos' name is still privately owned and it will be interesting to see what becomes of it.

That sounds really not good... it would be a shame for the link to be lost...

Is that Fields, as in Ted Fields?

One reason for the sale might have been huge piles of money. I mean really huge.

The Mercedes dealership here in Naples sold for $90 million two years ago.

Fields purchased multiple dealerships from Brumos. You do the math.
