Thread: Egregious Acts Against the 911

    Egregious Acts Against the 911

Let's lighten it up, shall we?

A friend who is a member here, long time PCA supporter, rgruppe'r, artist (which lends credibility to his opinions) and all-around good guy and I were discussing "bad things" we have seen done to a 911.

He won the discussion. (for now)

Under the heading of "A Good Idea Gone Bad" I give you:

    Oldsmobile Interior Door Pull Handles.

(These pre-date the ever so common 911R door handles everyone uses.)

PS: V-8 Conversions are so passé; please refrain. If somebody has a 911 utilizing an Evinrude Outboard Motor, that's different.

    You get the gist.

Would fuzzy dice hanging from the rear view mirror be in poor taste? The colors do match the paint job.

I think I can top that.
One of the previous custodians of my beloved 1973 911T has fitted it with the - very popular in the eighties - so-called GTI roof antenna:

But, as the car is in its first paint, and the antenna has been on there since I bought it over 10 years ago, I kept it as being part of its checkered past.
It will come off though, when a respray is on the cards.

    Aerodynamic antenna.

Nice garage. A mid-rise lift is in your future.

Absolutely not. Your posting is awful. Top of the "heap" for now. 🙈

OK, then this might be my all-time favorite. Posted on another forum by the owner/innovator as a way to deal with steep driveways.
