Nice overview. Interesting to see some 1Q65 cars like 474, 475 and 772 in the list that were originally delivered as RHD cars. The delivery of the first RHD cars was only 2Q 65 as I seem to recall. Apparently these cars have taken 3 months longer than their fellow LHD VIN's to leave the factory.

What do you think was the reason for that delay?

    not sure, few options
    - they converted already finished LHD cars
    - they left a few cars unfinished, waiting for parts to complete the RHD versions
    - they had the car finished earlier but were awaiting road approval tests
    - any combination
would love to hear the real story

I would love to know the real story too.
This delay happened to some Rhd cars (but not all) at the beginning of every new year of production in the swb era including my own 67S (built aug 66) which was not delivered until four months after build date.
