Bought set late recaro sport seats ;-) information needed!

    Hi,

After looking at ads for many many years and seeing the prices rise sky high… I found a late set including tilting consoles and gave it myself as an (expensive Christmas present….!

They were been build out of a car long time ago and stored.

I added the pictures I made today.

    - There is one major issue / problem and that is that the lhs side of the back rest from the driver seat seems to be broken….
    Has anyone experience repairing this?
I saw a thread from swbsam and Alan.uk showing pictures of only the frame. Does anyone ever tried to dismantel the back rest to weld the frame.

Second question is if anyone can judge (see pictures) if it is still the original material the seats are covered with?
If so I have to be even more careful repairing the broken back rest!

The hinges seem to be connected to the chair with alan key bolts…..should be cross heads?

All advice is more then welcome!

Thanks to all and marry Christmas,
    Bart
