    Indeed, a life well lived.

I saw him play once in our small Midwest rural school gymnasium, where in the mid '60's he and the Globetrotters were challenging some of the best teams in high school athletics across the state. The gym was packed.

As a young kid I remember my Dad taking me to see one of my Dad's friends who was an aspiring ball player; our school of around 50 kids in 9-12 had just played State B ball and had won State Championship. The Globetotters hit town in an old 'Greyhound Scenicruiser' with the name painted on the sides ........

Meadowlark virtually ran circles around my Dad's friend who was the title winning Center, voted MVP at State..... I can still see him mocking the refs and throwing buckets of water ( confetti ) on them.

Great memories; sad he has passed on.
    Best Regards,
