1st Coffee and Doughnutfest of 2016

This Saturday, Jan 2 will start the New Year off right. All of the cob webs should be gone by the 2nd and how many football games can a person watch? Starts at 9AM but get here early for prime parking. I don't think it will be Tee-shirt and shorts weather but shouldn't be too bad, either. Hope to see many of you Nor-Cal Early911SRegistry people this weekend.

    Cheers

    Jim

The forecast for Saturday is for clear or partly cloudy skies and it will be colder than a whore's heart (at least to us Bay Area residents). We will probably see some knot head here in shorts, though. See y'all Saturday. Happy New Year to all!

    Regards

    Jim

    Thanks Jim!
Had a great time, as usual and the donuts lasted all day.
Remember to re-order some Re-Jex. Once you start using it, you can't go without.
And that camera of yours really produces nice pictures

I stopped by my neighbor Canepa's shop on the way home. Just when I thought that it couldn't get any better, it always does. Here are a few snaps -- there are additional projects not shown here that would completely blow your mind. How about bare-metal 959 do-overs to the level that the factory could only have dreamed about -- with upgraded turbos and electronics for a tractable 750 hp? Maybe a 450 hp custom hot-rod BMW M1 Procar? The man is relentless...

    Best EASY-first-Saturday-of-the-month meeting in a long time………….and there's a perfectly logical reason.

New Years Day fell on a Friday, with the 1st Saturday the following day, just one long weekend of self-indulgence and fun………..cold, as promised - but dry and no rain.

Turnout was unbelievable, you'd think it was June or July, with lots of first-timers and never-before seen cars. What a fine start to a new year.

    Happy New Year everyone,

    JZG

Photo #1. the hood badge on a '73 911T, recently purchased from the original owner by a local Porsche shop technician, with 80 something k miles on it and all original Tangerine paint. It's the car on the left in photo #2 with the engine lid up, and bought for a decent price, no less. They're still out there !

One well known and prominent ESReg / R Gruppe member brought his lastest acquisition all the way from Monterey, an immaculate '94 RS America with 58,000 original miles ( in Silver ). Pease note the arrangement of the rear-seat delete option in photo #4 - Half an hour later, another RS America showed up and parked behing the silver car ( photo #7 ) - quite an amazing sight, two of the rarest and most desirable of production cars nose to tail.
