Did some 911s come with vw jacks?

I have many early jacks that are smaller and labeled vw. I have owned only one beetle and one singlecab so I don't know why so many vw jacks. Did they supply them with early 911s?

all the jacks on the first 2 pictures are Bilstein Porsche jacks in my view,\. They all came with angled tip jack handle with 19 inch lug wrench.
as far as I know the VW jacks came with the loose angled jack handle without lug wrench and also had 2 hinges each, both inserts for the jack handle: one to move the car up and one to move her down again.

The jacks in the 4th picture are VW if I am not mistaken. The VW jack is straight and Porsche jacks are angled where they go into the jack point.

You might want to check Jacks – a general guide line on the Samba to get a better idea of VW jacks.

It seems VW's from 1953 to 1965 had a Bilstein jack with the same mechanism as the Porsche Bilstein jack but with the spur 90° to the jack shaft and no rubber buffer at the top.

So, if you are asking $50,000.00 for a dirty, dusty engine case, what are you going to ask for a jack?

    Warmest Regards

    For VW jacks, beats me.

    I've seen restored 356C/early 911 jacks selling for something like $ 250.

By the way, the standard authority on Porsche 356 jacks is Eric Cherneff's Porsche 356 Tool Kits. The early 911 jacks are the same as 356C jacks--at some point the base may have changed from Bilstein blue to black.

Porsche started using that general style of jack in 1955 with the "Bilstein Blue" base (see http://356tools.com/Jack.htm).

I don't know exactly when the base changed from blue to black. I did talk to someone who seemed knowledgeable; he was selling restored jacks at Jack Staggs. That gentleman just said that 911 jacks have a black base, so based on that I suspect the change was early, maybe with the 1966 model year.
