My book, The 911 and 912, A Restorer's Guide to Authenticity II should be available mid-June. As soon as there is a delivery date I will post information. The book is 208 pages and has 893 color images and 124 illustrations. If purchased on my website: www.tpr-inc.com it includes the exclusive Gallery feature at no additional charge, which allows viewing all images online, high-res. on demand. Shipping to non-US addresses is expensive on single book purchases. It generally takes vendors such as Amazon.com in the US around a month to have them in stock (after we have it) and 3 months in Europe.

When I have a delivery date, the www.tpr-inc.com site will allow pre-ordering. Charge cards will not be processed until orders are ready to ship and orders will be filled in the order that they are received. That is way too many orders in one sentence -- sorry...

Not to be "that guy", but I think you have a typo there - or does the first 'R' chassis number really start with 188 instead of 118?

Typo on post 1 has been corrected. Thanks Geoff_68S for pointing it out.

Thanks Carl S. for adding your Kardex.

Interestingly, what appears to be Day 1 of 1968 911S completion included what I would think to be a pretty large batch of cars for what was at the time a rather small car company, as 11800070 was completed on the same day as 11800002. Do we know about how many cars the factory would complete in a usual day back then? (Also does this mean my car is tied for "oldest" '68S? that would be fun..)

Perhaps, but someone please refresh my recollection... which date is "completion?"

My car (002) was completed on July 25, if the date on the right is completion date. Making it MUCH MUCH older.
