Interesting. I know its been covered on the forum extensively, but I don't know who conducts the inspection - The factory?
My car was a demonstrator for Glockler in Germany. Looks like your car was delivered to an individual - perhaps the reason for the difference? Your car was comparatively well-equipped too, as my car got a heater and absolutely nothing else.
And in the spirit of this thread, my car has a 67 rearview mirror and 67 deco., so obviously those items changed during the year for subsequent cars (along with elephant hide of course).
Finally, I saw the entry for 21 June 1967 - 1st 911L USA - 11805002 early in this thread; however, it appears to be from COA which are prone to mistakes. Has this date been confirmed through a Kardex?

Scott,
The COA for 11805002 was shown in post #23. It COA lists a completion date of 21 June 1964. The owner checked with the distributor and they said the year should be 1967, not 1964. The completion date hasn't been confirmed with a Kardex as far as I know.
Dates listed in post #1 are Ausgel. am dates if taken from a Kardex or Production Completion Date if taken from a COA or similar document.

Very interesting info. My kardex is kind boring as far as options go.
The Kardex provided the serial number for my engine but I actually have a blank case. Is that still considered a numbers matching car?
911L serial number 11810429, a car with the Rallye kit option, is the first car with the PORSCHE side scripts on the Kardex, as best as I can tell. It has a Kardex date of 09-February-1968 and lists the option PORSCHE-Seitenschriftzug.
Here's a link to the Kardex for this car.

The Kardex for a 911T with Rallye Kit, 11820805, lists this option as seitlicher Schriftzug wie 911R.
Let me know if you come across an earlier reference to this option and I'll update the list on page 1.
A little bit late but in time for your next version of your book?
This is the rear lid of my 911s Sportomatic delivery date 6 march 1968. Delivered in Swiss.
Additional info: The Red Book is telling the 911s of 1968 has aluminum calipers. That's not correct, mine has steel ones but extended to fit the ventilated discs.

Doigthom,
It looks like the factory installed a hard window in at least one 1967 targa. This photo was dated 8/67

I think I got all the rear lid stuff correct by the time the book was published. I know I got the brake and caliper stuff right.
My '68 is supposed to be done next month.

On MY 1968, the gas filler panel on the front fender was no longer painted black.
Here are pictures from the USA 1968 MY introductory brochure and a completely original Italian 911S MY 1968 with first paint.
