Please don't consider this a hijack...I was under the impression '72 and '73 seats came with the "Press" seat belt release mechanisms and not the bar type release mechanism.....I saw the '73 date stamp pictured...so now I am confused.

Those seats look awesome by the way

Hi Earl, the right one looks a bit like a very rare '67 recaro sportseat. Not sure though.

    Really cool seats!

I thought 72-73 had the only double locking mechanism?

Here is an image of the bottom of a 66 and the bottom of 70-71, is a 67 sofa double locking?

The headrest holes are not super obvious in the photos; perhaps that's where your confusion lies.
Early sport seats are easy to I.D: Fore/Aft levers protrude from the front of the seat bottom. On later ones this adjustment is on the frame.

    Hi Clyde,

How about this, is it a 73 with one locker removed (to work with earlier bracket) or was there a provision on the earlier seat for a double locker?

    Thanks... Earl

The provision was there, in order to have the bases work for either side.

The provision for levers was there for either side however the indents for the pivoting
pin only appeared when the double lockers appeared which makes it
hard to turn double lockers into single lockers and vice versa.
