Adjusting angle of door window frames

    Happy New Year!

I hope anyone reading might be able to lend some insight to my inquiry.

I've searched the web and have not come up with a specific answer to my dilemma.

My drivers side window frame is kicked out a out ~ 1/4 of an inch at the anterior curve. As such; it has a gap between the weather strip and the frame. Makes for great whistling at highway speeds.

I am aware of the adjustment Allan bolts; however; I was wondering if there are any formulas for different adjustment scenarios, or is it just loosen, maneuver and tighten; as in trail by error? Window up or down?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Window up . No magic formula , if it was easy all cars would have perfectly fitting frames - they don't .
