    300096

today i have begun the restoration of 300096.
the car will undergo a bare metal restoration.
and i like to share the progress with you.

it is not an exciting barnfind or long time hidden car ...the story behind it is actually almost as boring as going to your porsche dealer and buy a boxter.

but hey..i always wanted to do a `64 car---so here we go--and i am very happy to be the one chosen by the owner.

    thank you dear owner!

the car has been what i would rather call repaired then restored in the late 90ies or early ´00
unfortunatly many details got lost or have been destroyed back then.

so a main focus will also be finding the bits and pices that are missing or incorrect....and there is plenty of them.
and i am sure some unpleasant surprises will be waiting for me...day one has already proofen this....

i will update the progress whenever i am in the mood
i will also ask the very knowledgable forum about details whenever i dont know it myselfe or the inner circle can`t help me.

looking forward to this journey and may the force be with me.....

this is a link list that i will update whenever i find some interesting 64 stuff here.
    for internal use only...kind of...

maybe someone can enlighten me how to do the hyperlink thing

good to see... but, shouldn't a flat sided early 911 be posed next to trim, rather than curvy, model on a poster??

As each '64 901 and 911 gets finished, the bar is raised. This one should catapult us to a new level. (Although Dave's work is pretty phenomenal.)

    Franz,
May the Porsch be with you.
