searching for engine (case) 903742
once the car is totally striped i will post detail pics ...
so far 95% of the screws i unscrewed were incorrect...
front bumper is lwb
fender `68
latch panel is genuine porsche part but later style..have to modify not only the tag area also the reinforcement where the catch sits
and the lip that holds the bumper to body seal...unless i find a nos one or rust free originalo...i will not go for the RD part..
incorrect later gas tank
later style gas tank support
later floor pan....possibly a converted RHD one....
carpets,dash trim,
and so on
good thing is that there were no repop parts used for the job done in the late 90ies.
all genuine porsche parts..many today NLA pars that are still in excellent cond...
an other good thing is that i have most of the correct bolts in my shelfes
one thing i have never seen before is the gas tank fuel strainer..
the main body is made out of nylon unlike the metal type i know.
......

FWIW the 66 303407 I'm restoring right now has the same nylon fittings.
Franz, those nylon ones were quite common.
Let me know if I can help, call me anytime, I thoroughly inspected that car in Wiesbaden at a previous owners house last year, wanted to buy it but all the modifications and/or later years parts threw me off considering his price range. I have a lot of pictures available if needed.
Are you aware of the engine number issue?
Cheers, Henk.
