The 2.4S has become one of the most sought-after early 911s and this is a very attractive and distinctive example in metallic green with bright plaid inserts to the interior. It was first delivered to Italy in the usual minimal and lightweight format of no sunroof, manual windows and non-sport seats. As a 1972 model, it retains the bright work of the earliest cars and has the one-year only external oil filler on the rear quarter panel.
With a handful of Italian owners and a low recorded mileage, our car more recently found its way to Switzerland and, more recently still, a collection of rather special 911s in the UK. It has been well-maintained by recent owners with documented work by marque specialists to the engine, gearbox, suspension and brakes. The car retains its original matching numbers MFI engine and is fitted with a replacement gearbox of the correct type.
A proper example of an outstanding model, the car is equally ready for trips around the corner or across the continent.

I've seen this one in person. The photos dont do the colour justice.

Yes, a very nice color. 10 years ago I bumped into an identical metallic green 2,4T in a rough neighborhood in London just standing there lonely in the rain. Stopped me dead in my tracks!

Dayyum. That's about as pretty as it gets. Did some of the later long hoods have tartan inserts? I'd only seen the courduroy or houndstooth cloth.

My It spec early 73S, 310, has tartan inserts. Aubergine, cinnamon/tan tartan. The pattern from the one picture of this green car looks the same or similar, can't tell. Need a better photo of the interior. From what I can tell in my documentation, my car was ordered by the dealer for demo originally. My D headrests are beige and match the overall light nature of the tan tartan. I see this green S has tartan on the headrests. Unusual, maybe a custom job? The driver's seat looks pretty 'sat in', so they have been in the car for quite a while.

The only difference is Porsche refered to the early plaids as Madras not Tartans.

Holy smokes...as a lover of LWB metallic cars, Metallic Green on this car is just drop dead gorgeous. Tartan is the cherry on top (never before seen it from factory on headrests, though...but what do I know?). Not trying to start a controversy, but I 'd take this over Viper (or even the cool but much more common Irish) green any day!

IIRC, in the late 90s i took a pilgrimage to the original Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, and I could've sworn there was a LWB 911S in just this color...
