1966/67 Build date

I need help with the build date on my 911 vin 306801 with 901/05 engine , my own "guess" is november 1966?

Lars your guess is very close. A car 150 numbers higher has a "Ausgel. am" date of December 15, 1966.

If you are a member of the Early 911S Registry, a benefit is a (annually mailed to us) listing of the cars in the "S" registry.
A recent addition to the Registry gathered info is the date, if known, when our cars were completed. With this added info
we are getting closer to pinpoint a more accurate production volume by serial number per week.

(Membership in this registry is well worth the fee).

My S is 306832 and it has been built on Nov.22-1966.

The 19/20th was the weekend so it likely Thursday or Friday 17th or 18th might be the best guess for your build date considering where your chassis number falls between the above two 911's.

306819 (not an S) was completed according to the kardex on 28 November.. However because the cars were not completed in numerical order there can be a up to couple of weeks between completion of consecutive chassis numbers sometimes. so i would only use this as a rough guide. For example my records show 306615S completed on 3 November and 306616S completed on 28 October
