    Sunroof hardware diagram

    Car is a '73T

The previous owner just fitted the sunroof in place but hasn't finished it
It's floppy and seem to be missing something
I have a box of parts that I can't identify
Can someone direct me to where I can find info on removing and refitting the roof?
Can the panel be removed without removing the head lining?

    Thanks

This page out of the '73 parts book might help......

I would assume there are multiple pages in the repair/assembly book that would answer your other questions...

Got the wiring sorted. Took everything apart and cleaned everything
Put it all back together, did nor use any grease
Haven't fitted the new seals yet
The roof is operating well except it's stopping few millimetres short. Any idea why?

Try removing the gear driver, and then push the panel forward as far as needed, then reinstall the gear.

I have never worked on my sunroof. Does this type of work require the headliner to be out of the car?

You just unzip the zipper to find the gear box held in place by 2 screws. You may need to release the sunroof panel headliner (which slides in a groove below the panel) part to get it all the way forward. When the gear is out, the panel slides, allowing the cables to move opposite each other where they interact with the small driver gear wheel. Once the panel is in the correct forward position, the gear should repeat that position each time. The last motion of the panel is to lift the rear part up to the roof level, and that is also adjustable.
