Two questions on this older topic: does anyone know the part number for the 24mm breather hose, from oil tank to airbox? PET is not clear on that. Second, where is the small (lowest) outlet nipple on the airbox connected with? Thnx for info.
    (Is for '73 MFI)

    Lightbulb

    Tom,

My '73 parts book lists the hose as:
    901.107.349.04

The small hose at the very bottom of the air box connects to the breather bolted to the back of the sheet metal... It has a small bung at the top (pictured away from you) The hose collects what condensed oil vaper and it runs downstream to the breather and out the rubber 'drain nipple' (dark black) at the bottom of the breather.... and, if it makes that far, on to the ground...

    Hope this helps,
    cm

    thanks Chuck!

Can't find any reference on that number, could you verify?
In PET online, I could only find breather hoses for the 911T-V and 911T-K models.

I noticed the smaller tube on a pre-restoration photo of my engine. :-)
But couldn't find a number for it in PET; Although generic hose, would expect to find a part number for it?

See here for more detail on the bottom of the airbox breather hose. https://www.early911sregistry.org/fo...highlight=hose

The small hoses themselves can be found in rubber everywhere, but if you want authentic fabric braided versions, look here for a source. https://www.early911sregistry.org/fo...=1#post1023950

Just be warned the Porsche hose is 10 times the price of the German made Continental brand braided hose in my link. I believe they are identical.
