    Picture interior light wire loom

    Hi,

Before the headliner goes in I need to get the wire loom for the interior lights in. The original wire loom is gone so will try to make one myself. Anyone has some pictures how it looks? Electric diagram is useful but does not show the type of connection left/right side, plus I need an idea how long to make it to get to the main wire loom. If someone has a spare wire loom I am interested...

    Thanks,

    Cees

In my 72 power and ground wires to the interior lights are installed up the passenger side A pillar, power from the harness under the dash, ground connected to the door switch circuit with connections under the passenger side hood hinge area. At the roof juncture there is a branch off to the driver side neatly tucked down inside the framing supports above the windscreen and over the door opening. Like wise the power and ground are extended to the passenger side light. The wires are cabled in a black plastic jacket.

Good luck getting it installed up through the A-Pillar. My loom was hacked off and I had to reroute it as I wasn't able to get the wire into either of the pillars.

Hi Cees, here are some photos of a NOS one I have (but keeping it).

The long wire length from power connector to light connector is 221 cm. The short wire length from power end to light connectors is 163cm. So to make the harness you'll need a ground wire and a power wire in each of those lengths. The split in the sleeve occurs at 63.5cm.

The power end and the long length light end have 10cm of wire exposed outside of the vinyl sleeve. The short end only has 5cm. No idea if that is by design or random. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks all, really good! Should be not difficult to replicate Jeff's wire loom, terrific.

    Best regards,

    Cees
