Sun Valley Porsche Parade, Idaho 1971

I have this sticker on my 1965/1967S car and I thought it might be fun to see if any 'seasoned' members attended back in the day and whether anyone had any old photos, recollections or even video (sorry 'cine' film or home movie) of the event.

Coincidence, just I'm posting this my September 1971 Panorama magazine arrives, all the way from the USA !

There's a great article on the Sun Valley Parade along with lists of all the winners of the various categories, some great period photos and some bargains in the classifieds such as a 1954 356 speedster-exceptionally clean-for $3796.

Anyone know whether I can scan and post copies here, or are there copyright issues ?

I lived in Aspen 71 to 75 and Sun Valley 75 to 80. I missed that event and the 78 Aspen Parade. What a shame. I remember getting a ride up Galena in a brand new 75 Turbo. I thought it was a rocket ship on wheels. Here is a picture of me and my 59 Super with Rudge wheels in Aspen, and a picture of Dr. Warren Sorenson's 2 1972 Silver 911's one a T and one a S in Sun Valley. I would go to his house and watch Porsche's race on his TV. He had the biggest TV I'd ever seen. I acquired a 70 914-6 with a 2.2S engine and drove it all over Idaho at the time. Aspen, Sun Valley, and Porsche's in the 70's. What a wonderful time!
